Yaki Udon | Stir Fry Udon Noodle

Yaki Udon (焼うどん) is simple and easy stir fry dish that you can finish everything under 30 mins!


I'm gonna show you how to improve your stir fry with some great easy tips!! After cooking this dish once, I am sure that you will cook it again and again!!

[Ingredients] (GRAM)


-Cabbage 150g

-Carrot 1 (130g)

-Scallion 2 stalks (60g)

-Garlic (as peeled) 15g

-Ginger (as peeled) 10g


-Sliced pork belly 240g

-Kombu salt 1/2tsp (2.5g)

-Black pepper some


-Udon noodle (Choose from below)

-Cooked 2pkt (400g)

-Dry 1.5bunch (150g)


(Kombu salt)

-Salt 50g

-Kombu 4g


(Yaki udon sauce)

-Soy sauce 1tbsp (15ml)

-Oyster sauce 1tbsp (20g)


 

[Ingredients] (OUNCE)


-Cabbage 5.3oz

-Carrot 1 (4.6oz)

-Scallion 2 stalks (2.1oz)

-Garlic (as peeled) 0.5oz

-Ginger (as peeled) 0.35oz


-Sliced pork belly 0.5lb

-Kombu salt 1/2tsp (0.1oz)

-Black pepper some


-Udon noodle (Choose from below)

-Cooked 2pkt (14.1oz)

-Dry 1.5bunch (5.3oz)


(Kombu salt)

-Salt 1.7oz

-Kombu (Dried kelp) 0.1oz


(Yaki udon sauce)

-Soy sauce 1tbsp (0.5oz)

-Oyster sauce 1tbsp (0.7oz)

[Instruction]


[Chapter1: Prepare Ingredients]

  1. Chop veggies

  2. Cook udon. Rinse to chill. Set aside


[Chapter2: Seasonings]

  1. Blitz kombu and salt to make kombu salt

  2. Mix soy sauce and oyster sauce


[Chapter3: Cook Vegetables]

  1. Cold pan. Vege oil (Generous splash). Garlic and ginger

  2. Medium heat until fragrant

  3. Add carrot. Fry until soft

  4. Add cabbage. Fry few mins

  5. Add scallions. Fry 30 sec

  6. Set aside


[Chapter4: Cook Meat]

  1. Same hot pan. Vege oil. High heat

  2. Add the pork. Seasoning. leave until coloured

  3. Flip. Cook 30 sec. Then strain the fat

  4. 3 tbsp of water to the pan. Scrape the yummy bits

  5. Add to the veggies. The porks too


[Chapter5: Fry Yaki Udon]

  1. Same hot pan. Vege oil. Medium heat

  2. Add udon. Fry few secs

  3. Add the meat and veggies

  4. Fry until reheated. Then add the sauce

  5. Mix through, done mate!
